You gota say "Far East", when in our case of conversation, it leads to this. North/South America are the "West". Europe and all of Russia are the 'East". Than anything else east of The Middle East, and south of Russia are "The Far East".

And your right South Korea and Japan are very "Westernized" as you say. I don't know if they celebrate B-days like us. You should go look it up, lol.

What's east is eat, and what's west is west, isn't due to where you are geographically, but I've been told that East is to the east of what was the Roman Empire and what's West is to the west of that. Which works as a good rule of thumb.
