Is Campy inspired by Watership Down?

Have something to say about the comic in general? Found something neat out about it, or want to express theories? Here's the place, kids.

Is Campy inspired by Watership Down?

I think he somewhat is, or could just be coincidence. For anyone that's read the book, you could tell me that poetry and stories are a strong part of rabbit culture. Of course he could just be the poetic, writer character that Quetza had planned.

Probably not, simply because Campy evolved into his current status as a poet, before he was just some drooler. Plus, the poetic styles of Watership rabbits and Campy are plenty different.

I've been considering that there's a symbolic connection between Poetry, sexuality, and Oscar Wilde in relation to Campy.

Like Wilde, Campy is a Poet, Bisexual (and possibly kinky. ;3) there's really not much more I could add, but there's plenty of other writer's that'd share this common link. (Psychology for Writers' has it that under the profile for a Writer, it says "Tends to be homosexual", so it's something of a stereotype, I'd imagine.)

I've never read Watership Down, ever. I heard it was pretty bad... or maybe just the cartoon movie? I dunno.

Watership Down was actually pretty good. The movie, somewhat less so, but the book is worth a read.

Book was excellent, very long, detailed; I love the rabbit culture that exists. You just need to really research British English. I would have loved for it to be 'americanized' because British English is so weird (to my American brain, that is), but I guess the purist fans (which is a huge group with this book) would reject. Movie was meh, if you like the book I would see it, had a nice original song by Garfunkel in it. There was some 90s cartoon on TV though, heard that was unsurprisingly terrible. But would highly recommend the book.

Just my humble opinion, but I thought the cartoon series wasn't bad either.
