Cadbury taken over by Kraft

Well, it looks like Cadbury as we know it has officially died. Basically, Kraft has now taken over Cadbury in the tradition that they took over Vegimite. This takeover is likely to lead to the loss of jobs and mean that work will be outsourced (most likely to China). The real question though is what will happen to the quality of Cadbury's confectionary? Dairy Milk Chocolate and Creme Eggs may never be the same again!

Anyway, discuss if you feel so inclined...
She's watching you. FOREVERRRRRRR!!!

There is a Cadbury's factory like 50 miles away from me and I'm not sure what will happen to it. But I just hope Kraft will keep the Cadbury name and stuff

Wow, I can't believe that this thread told me about this before the nightly news here in the US.
I really would think that Kraft would pull the same thing that Frito Lay (of whom owns 90% of the potato chip industry) does, keep the labeling the same but slap a small Kraft logo on the back to show ownership.

I study business enterprise development and this was actually a point of discussion in a seminar.

If Kraft tamper with the product in anyway they will stand to lose millions. If they keep it as it is and make no changes then they'll keep bringing in just as much as Cadbury were before the take over.

Still, is a bit annoying to see they sold out.

I don't see anything wrong with Kraft. Philidelphia cheese kept its name, why shouldn't Cadbury, a much larger company, not keep its name? Besides, this should actually help the market.
