As EVIL as the Disney empire is I dont think they are stupid. and they would have to be utter morons in order to screw with a cash cow like marvel. I mean we may see a whole bunch of NEW marvel series pop up that are completely unrelated to all of our old favorites, but I honestly highly doubt they will screw with things and will be content to just soak up a portion of all the profits. Think of them as being more of a money leach then a full blown terminal disease for Marvel. That's my opinion. and honestly if they screw with spiderman I know for a fact that I wilo boycott them in a heartbeat!

Disney better not mutate Marvel into some horrible mess. As much as I don't care for either Disney or Marvel Comics, theres folks that obviously do.

The Justice League are all DC superheroes. :T

Also, I don't think this'll turn out badly. Marvel certainly wasn't hurting financially so it wasn't some desperate bid to avoid bankruptcy. I'm willing to bet this is more movie-related than comic-related, it'll just be like... easier to have a bigtime studio and stuff to make movies with, or something.

I saw this and I thought of a spin-off to Kingdom Hearts. I also thought of a new crossover game: Marvel VS Disney. *imagines it...*

Worst combination of ideas ever. I don't have any ill will toward Disney or anything, but this is bound to go just for some immediate short-term recognition.

You're one of a million. I actually thought some characters would fit perfectly into the series. How amazing would it be to fight with the Incredible Hulk in KH3? ...Sure, he'd steal your kills constantly, though who cares? IT'S TEH HULK.

...I'm just worried about the path Disney will drag Marvel's characters' profiles down...
The folks at Disney could really alter our favorite heroes and villians to make them more 'appropriate' for an audience of mixed ages. For example, in a future Incredible Hulk flick, our favorite green giant may have gained his powers from eating nothing but green beans, rather than being mutated by his own father.

I'm not saying they'll do that. I'm simply pointing out that Disney now has the ability to alter Marvel characters as the company sees fit. This sends shivers down my spine...

...I just hope the charaters of [s]Marvel[/s] Disney aren't drastically changed.

Oh, and Captain America has made a few appearences in the Justice Leage(I believe...), and he's a Marvel character...so... : /

So he made a few cameos or something in a DC cartoon? Doesn't make him a DC superhero or any of the DC superheroes Marvel.

And I dunno, you people might be underestimating Disney on the "ability to keep things not-child-friendly" front. Just because the vast majority of what Disney does now is kid/family-oriented doesn't mean they're just gonna start making all the superheroes different. The Punisher will not suddenly start punishing people by putting them in the corner for 20 minutes. If Disney fucked with Marvel superheroes and comics to that point, they'd have a TON of pissed-off comic fans and a TON of lost business. I think a big time company like Disney knows what audiences their products are going to, and with Marvel, it's not kids (unless they are already for kids).

1. I think a majority of comic fans are already pissed off, no doubt.
2. We just brought up Captain America, due to him being with a few DC characters in the Justice League (Somebody mentioned that if the Green Lantern teamed up with Captain America, the world would go to Hell..so I stepped in and said, cook me up some roffles, because the two teamed up in the Justice League's first(?) movie.).
3. Pirates proved that Disney can work on flicks that are not just for the youth. However, you really think that Disney can create a movie based on Marvel characters, and still include the classic drama and action we love out of a comic-based film? I know you think Disney will produce some great flicks including Marvel's characters, though we haven't seen many flicks that include elements shown in many comic/anime movies.

Do you see why I'm nervous, now? I'm worried that Disney will not be able to grasp the unique creative elements needed to forge a nice comic-based movie.

Am I trash-talking Disney? I'm not. Am I going to continue questioning Disney's creative ability? I will, until I see a decent comic-based flick produced by them (...only because I'm a bit anxious to see whether or not Disney wields the creativity to nurture their new line of characters...)

All I can say is, if Spiderman suddenly starts doing a song & dance routine, I'm hiring Achmed the Dead Terrorist to keeel someone.

Again, I don't think Disney's stupid enough to apply its animated movie logic to the Marvel movies as A) they're not animated and B) they know what their audience is. And I think people are overestimating just how much say the entire studio has over the production and script of the movies.

Also Peter Parker DID do a dance routine technically in the 3rd movie. :B

Conclusion IMO, the only good that'll come from this is the next Kingdom Hearts. Marvel heroes would make a more decent teammate than Ariel, the little Mermaid.
