My mom's thoughts about me being a furry and a question...

Talk about that strange place that exists outside your house!

Exactly my point.

Honestly, I like to try and find out if there are any other furries that go to my school, but that'd be too much of a gamble to me.
I wonder if theres some kinda approach to that...

I kind of want to ask my sister if she's a furry (I know she likes wolves more than I like any animal, and she likes some of the same stuff I do so if there's a connection between any of that stuff and furrydom she might just be), but it wouldn't mean all that much to me if she was and I'd be rather upset if she reacted badly.

I'd like to see someone start a furry religion. Not like Scientology, but like Pastafarianism. Nobody messes with the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Something like that could help if it's obviously silly and not intended seriously, but then, it could backfire big time... so maybe better not.

But hey, I'd say Bruce automatically gets a spot in the pantheon... as the God of Chaos...

I just told my brother and parents. I explained it to them. They said they understand that there are people out there who give it a bad name, and understands im not into bestiality or anything like that. I was actually quite relieved. The thing is, I revealed my fursona was a wolf. Were on vacation in Alaska, and my mom won't stop pointing out wolf stuff in all the giftshops.

I was thinking the exact same thing. One day, a friend of mine and I were talking and I noticed his recurrent mention of wolves and his constant growling and barking (which gotta kind of annoying after a while). On top of that he was wearing a collar... so I just straight-out asked him, "Are you a furry?"
You shoul've seen him--his eyes got really wide and started shaking his head violently screaming, "NO! SAY NO TO FURRIES! SAY NO TO FURRIES!" Ugh I was dissapointed.
Out of curiousity, I asked him why he was so anti-furry, and he said that "it's not that they're into beastiality--they're not--it's just the fursuits creep me out. All they do is have sex in them."

So the he simply hated furries cause He's bitten the false information of the media. Did you make any attempts to straighten out his opinion? Anyway, my friends dont really show any furry-like habits like your friend, so I'd probably try to find some kinda way to bring it up like "Have yall ever heard of something called furries?" er something like that...

I did, but he refused to listen. The thing is that all my friends know about the furry fandom is whatever's posted on 4chan and such, so I don't even TRY to talk to my friends about it.

Well im not a furry, im a...skinny...Ummm....
ANYWAYS! :D

If people didnt put furries and yiff into the same catagory, there would be far less problems. :(
My name is unimportant. My purpose is simple, extraction of any further information from you. We can do so here, or we can do so in my private quarters. Doing so would be markedly more unpleasant.

Does anyone else find it odd that 4chan is capable of starting negative stereotypes? (Don't they have an entire board dedicated to loli?)

I find myself wondering too. I just can't help but think I'm not the only one. That there might be more furries in my school. I want to find out because I don't have any furry friends in real life. The internet is great for connecting with people, but is no substitute for having real life friendships.
