Generalities are a dangerous thing. Do some fursuiters mime around like idiots? Oh yeah. Are some babyfurs pedophiles? I'm pretty sure thats a big yes. Are some furries into bestiality? Absolutely. However, those people are a subset of the larger group they're part of, which doesn't partake in those particular things. Its absurd to label an entire group by the actions of a small subset of it. Its not logical, and it actually opens the door to further flawed associations such as 'since fursuiters are a subgroup of furries then all furries are fursuiters.' Or perhaps a more obvious flawed assumption would be 'since babyfurs are a subset of furries then all furries are babyfurs.' If it doesn't work on that level then you really can't expect it to work when you break it down a level further.

i love fursuits and fursuiting. the reason why alot of us don't talk is to give it abit of mystry and to add to the over all feel. we do talk sometimes when you want to say something important. also the reason for acting like a "moron" is not cuase when you put a head on we go all spazzy it's just that fact that you CAN act like that the way you can have fun and just muck around life is far to serouis now'a days.you seem like a self hating fur to me lol

Fur suiting, really matters what your looking at, normally doesn't bug me I am more passive about it.. personally i perfer realistic but that a ton of money to do, so its understandable that they get a fursuit.

baby furs do bug me to a point that I can get over it but enough that if I was asked, I would speak my mind.

yes, I hate them. why? because it seems to me when a lot of people put on the head of the fursuit they instantly become morons unable to communicate any other way besides with hand gestures. there is NOTHING more uncomfortable than to have someone in a fursuit walk up to you and do a bunch of hand gestures trying to get you to figure something out. nothing quite like standing there awkwardly as they make themselves look like an idiot.

also, they are all so out of proportion, I've never seen an animal with a head that large!!! it just looks insane. show me a fursuit that looks like a real anthro animal with someone inside it that doesnt became the instant retard when they put the head on. they have a mouth so talk!!

in a way this kind of sucks I feel this way because when I go to furry conventions with Pawstar and someone in a fursuit comes up to me I cant exactly tell them to go away because that would be bad for their reputation and I dont want that. but I also dont want people in fursuits standing there making me guess wtf is going on. seriously, dont.

if you have a fursuit and go to a convention, dont go into artists alley or the dealers room. it just makes sellers uncomfortable and makes other visitors uncomfortable with the large awkward moron unable to talk bumping into things with their tails and stuff. not interesting at all.

As a fursuiter myself and an active con-goer(about 5 furry cons a year) I have to say your pretty alone in this sentiment. Fursuiters tend to be the main 'attraction' if you will at cons. Most people I encounter while suiting tend to really enjoy the performance and character I put on while in suit.

Most fursuiters don't talk in suit for the same reason I don't; just like a regular mascot at Disney or such places its kinda inappropriate to break character and talk. Its the illusion of being a big fuzzy cartoon character.

I also don't feel like an idiot while suiting, I really enjoy the opportunity to throw on my fursuit and become an entirely different character and act silly. Its fun, and most others get a kick out of it.

Also...don't go into the artist ally or dealers den?? Thats the best part! I love having all sorts of crazy antics in the dealers den, faking 'stealing' from a dealer usually puts a smile on their face and is amusing to the people around them. The artist ally is also a really fun place to suit due to the large amount of people congregating in their to perform for. I've never once in the 15+ furry cons I've attended had anyone get annoyed with me while in suit in either of those places.

For me I dont show disdain to any subset, granted there are those small percentages that give the rest of us furs a bad name, but you have to look past that, I don't want a fursuit mainly because well to be blunt I really dont need one, I take it seriously when I say I was born a furry, I've been a snow leopard since day one, I fall under the subset of Therians but thats who I am :3 I'm a true furry

closest thing i get to a public fur suit is a limp tail(so as not to bump into anything), a pair of ears, and maybe a collar. in lily's case it would be some white makup, long rabbit ears, short tail, collar, and possibly cuffs. maybe a thin pair of furry paws. basically thin material fuzzy gloves. so i can still make use of my human hands


i have no problem with fursuiters. i agree it would be irritating dealing with someone trying to communicate with hand gestures but you gotta keep in mind. a lot of fur suiters use the suit to feel either less human or get closer to their kid side. both of which works better if you dont speak.


as far as the anthro heads that arent huge. ive seen some that are fairly proportional to the body but of course 90% of the fursuits you see are going to have huge heads >_> most of the animals fursuits are based on are much smaller than a human being. so obviously the head is going to be far larger.
and there are fetish outfits out there that dont do bad on head size (similar to these dog outfits http://www.artofpet.com/ )


in closing. regardless your opinion of fursuiters keep in mind that hating all fursuiters because of how some (or even most) act is literally the furry equivalent of racism. although i doubt anyone takes it that seriously thats literally the basis of racism just applied to fursuiters. always remember no 2 people are exactly alike. just cause one person acts a certain way doesnt mean anyone else ever will.

i take it you dont watch any hentai whatsoever cause if you do then your a hypocrite. 90% of hentai is animated girls who are clearly 14-16 that are somehow 18. no difference for baby furs with the exception they are basing it in fantasy anthro which is physically impossible in reality and usually when taken sexually its between consenting ADULTS dressed as infant anthro. as opposed to hentai which is actual humans.
