The story:
The year is 2032. Mankind has moved in these last 32 years much more than what anyone could have imagined. However the biggest thing that has happened to mankind was not any technological advancement, but the succesfull contact with aliens.
2 other races are now known to travel the universe with humans...the Maians (also known as the "greys" for those who have heard of the old abduction stories) who are an advanced and peacefull race, observing human development for ages, and the Skedar, Religious fanatics who have set their eyes on the conquest of other planets and races, using brutal weaponry and merciless tactics that have proven succesfull over and over again to take out and exterminate other less prepared races.
This contact would not have been possible had it not been for the efforts of the Carrington Institute, wich not only managed to create a succesfull relationship with the Maian culture, but also managed to break a conspiracy the skedar planed to take over an ancient weapon stuck on earth. These feats wouldn't have been possible were it not for their top agents, including the now legendary Joanna Dark.
9 years have passed since that time. The Carrington institute has expanded into something more than just a shadow organisation, it has become the main source and form of contact of the world with the maians, creating a peacefull bond with both races, and has also created a permanent defense against the skedar, should they ever try to attack our planet or our allies ever again, with extensive preparation and knowledge. However...there could not have been enough preparation that could have helped us fight off what was to come....
You're an agent of the institute. Wether you've prooved yourself in another organization, been personally trained by the institute, or a combination of both, you have shown the skills required to enter it's newest program, Broken Sunrise, a training program devised to create the perfect agents. People who would become as skilled and as proficient as Agent Dark to face new, terrible threats that cannot be beaten alone.
Your last training mission before entering action is today. You've not been told "what" you will be facing for your first serious assignment, but something seems familiar about this and the past events that took over 9 years ago.
Remember your training agent...you will need to use every little bit of it if you want to survive the things to come.

Allright guys, as you can probably tell by now, this is a Perfect Dark based RP. set in the future after the events of the original perfect dark (and not taking in mind the novels technically speaking)
INFORMATION THAT WILL BE REQUIRED:
Name: your name, obviously
Age: The institute does not let anyone underaged enter combat, so obviously this must be over 18
Sex: this one's rather obvious, just state what gender you are (in the case someone wants to make a transexual or herm character, there's no restriction here, though a little bit of detailing in the bio to avoid confusion would be nice)
Species: anthro or human, it's entirely up to you. if you want to be a Maian however you'll have to run it through me to see if it can fit into the story/idea of this RP.
Weapon of choice: as a member of the institute you're supposed to be at the least "decent" with every gun, but all are allowed a signature weapon, wich can be customized or not.
Appearance: your physical looks, like what build you have, what color of eyes, hair and fur. etc. what you look like in both your Institute agent clothes (armor/clothes/gadgets/etc.) and in your civilian clothes (yes, this will be required since you will be undercover agents in more than one occasion)
Biography: where'd you come from, what's your story, why did the institute pick you. etc. please, try to not make something that has to do with one of the main characters (in other words, no sons of daniel carrington or something like that. It would disrupt the lore as well as the storyline)

My character (edited slightly):
Name: Eli Valerian
Age: 22
Sex: Male
Species: Snow leopard.
Weapon of Choice: a personalised Falcon 2, with a compensator on the barrel wich allows for a silencer and it's own green laser sight instead of the standart red. the frame is still silver but it has the institute's mark on both sides of the slide.
Appearance: light and muscular, with a combination of black and white fur. His hair is shaggy, short and brown colored. one of his eyes is green, the other has been replaced with a cybernetic eye that acts as his HUD in most missions, this one is also green, although it obviously stands out the fact that it's cybernetic. During Institute missions Eli wears a black buttoned Tshirt with a lightweight bulletproof vest with baggy blue pants and blue sneakers. most of his equipment is carried on a pouch that is at the back of his waist (slightly tilted to the left for easy acess) his Falcon 2 is on a pistol guard on his right legt as he's right handed.
Off the institute missions or undercover he is usually seen wearing a brown leather jacket with a white hoodie under it, Jeans and combat boots, he still keeps his gun but he has it concealed under his jacket, to avoid any trouble.
Biography: Natively Spanish, Eli's parents have worked for the institute for a very long time, so it was only natural that their son would have pursued to work on the same location. however, since he's not exactly what you could call a brilliant man (far from it some would say) he was forced to work more on the field than on the development of weaponry, gadgets and inteligence for the institute. Spending most of his teenage years on training, virtually and physically on the institute grounds, Eli has proven he has what it takes to make for a good agent for the institute. Looking up to both of his parents who work at the research and development department. but also to Agent Dark, who is now his training officer in the Broken Sunrise program.
He was picked for Broken sunrise not for his long connection to the institute, but because of his determination to see every mission through to the end on the VR programs and ability to improvise when the situation goes south.
This is only the second RP i've tried creating...so i'm open to sugguestions, criticism, etc. (i know i must've done a mistake or two in the grammar department at the very least >.<)
