Just listen to the damn music then with no regards to the meaning! I'm not even going in to this right now.besides the only shitty music now is rap and hip-hop
And now something completely off that argument; two of my favorite songs with the same name.

I can't listen to music without analyzing it. I'm a classical musician and an analyst by nature. Plus, most all of the songs have shitty melodies, harmonies, guitar sections, the likes...
Not all Rap is shit. Only 9/10ths of it is.

I'm also a natural analyst, but I don't always pay attention to the meanings. (and this argument is now OVER, if you want to continue it take it to the pm's)
And in my book, 11/10ths of rap is shitty, and it's the only thing anyone listens to now it seems like.....
Now one of my favorite songs that I kinda forgot about (the guitar solo is awesome!)

If you've ever listened to The Gorrillaz you'd know that not all Rap is shit. I don't mind rap as long as it has purpose.

I don't think gorrillaz are a rap group.

Eminem's "25 to life" wasn't that bad either. Usually I despise everything he makes.

Yea, the thing is, I don't like The Gorrillaz. I really hate all rap.

They're not a rap group, but they utilize rap elements, such as rhythmic spoken sections and such.

Well, my tastes and styles have changed slightly, started to listening to more foreign metal (the best kind of metal for me)
YouTube Link
Love the ambient apocalyptic feeling to it with the chorus, as well as the mood changes to it.

Been getting into more ambient electronica, guess you can call it trance. Been more into the more devious and mysterious sounding styles.

And also this is my favorite non-rock song currently

never say that till you listen to some good ol' Sweatshop Union. or Flobots. course, they actually have a message; instead of "jump on it! jump on it! jump on it!"
bad language

heres the censored version

Sweatshop Union seems to be a form of Jazz/Rap/Hip-Hop hybrid, and they really pull it off. almost all of their songs have some deep message, usually about the tough parts of life....or about losing a childhood friend

or even about...well, mainstream rap, people who sleep around, women who sleep for cash, etc.

religion, or something like that >.>

while flobots is mainly politics.
or, rather having your kids dead, than having them go off to war to kill people:
a rather moving song, mixing rock and rap.

my post sounds like a spambot, huh?

Well, I didn't really like any of that. So, I guess I can say that now. :P
For anyone else who wants to know, the closest to rap I have is Linkin Park and P.O.D. (but they are more rock in my opinion)

As for stuff I've been listening to recently, mainly Motion City Soundtrack.
