See, this was an important bit here, even if people ARE going to be PO'd at it being a 'cop-out'. Campy is attracted to Kale, emotionally and physically, and it's going to play a role in future story-lines, especially once Connor freaks out and swears vengeance on Kale for 'stealing' his boyfriend. And this AFTER he and Bruce sorta-kinda make friends with each other.

I've been where you are, Campy. I've had the biggest crush on my best friend for years, but he's straight, if not narrow. The feeling's grown in recent months to what could only be love, but I know he doesn't return the feeling, and won't. He's getting married soon, and I'd rather have him be happy than try to ruin things by making him something he isn't.

This is gonna hurt, bunny. Just fair warning, dude.

Well, Pirate Kale did say "If this scenario DOES actually happen in real life...". FORESHADOWING

It took me a while to notice Campy's eyes are open in the last panel XD His bedhead looks like he just stuck his finger in an electrical socket

See, I don't think the tension is going to be between Kale and Connor, but that would almost certainly happen if by some off chance Kale and Campy hooked up. I figure if anything, the real hate will be between Connor and Bruce, considering they already have a bit of a rivalry going on. I couldn't see the two of them becoming friends any time soon, because when (or if) Campy breaks up with Connor, Bruce is going to be the first one blamed. Even if Campy does harbor feelings for Kale, I highly doubt he'll tell Connor about it, I think he's smart enough to know that would only worsen an already loaded situation.

So, all just a dream. Still, I imagine it's the kind of dream that will make Campy a little uneasy around both Kale and Connor. Does he really feel this way? Was it just the dream talking? He's gonna have to figure that out, and he might not like the answers.
