The Radical Church is at it Again...

Yes, the same radical church that protested Soldiers' funerals, Dio's funeral, and many other things like Comic Con, are on the move... Literally.

They are scheduled to come to my high school on October 22 and picket outside before school starts. I was informed at lunch today, and it was confirmed at my play rehearsal by a fellow cast member that read off of his laptop from their website. Their ridiculous reasons were things such as "they (students) are foaming at the mouth and violent... being taught that that being gay is OK... they have lost touch with the word of God and cant even recite one word from the Gospel." Now, this quotes may have some flaws in the way they are stated, but this is almost exactly what they have on their website (according to that student, i don't know if these are exact because my internet blocks that page).

Now, ill bet a few or perhaps many of you see this as a chance for me and many other students to go and protest them, but there is a problem. Apparently, they are suing people that confront them to fuel their efforts. I don't know HOW they can or on what basis their exact prosecution is, but apparently they have won more than once and are using the money for their efforts.


So, here is where you chime in; if you have had these unpleasant visitors that you feel the need to start a mob and beat the shit out of them... or know of visits to near by schools, OR have a prior knowledge of their arrival like i do, feel free to comment freely and express your opinion.

Also, if you have any more information on their little "Expedition," please post it, i would love to read it.


P.S.: i say the Radical Church instead of their official title for the reason i have forgotten their title (i think that subconsciously, it is erased from my memory because of how much i despise what they are doing.)

they protested my school too cause the person it was named after may have been gay or something.

eg: "god hates fags" among other things...
also god sent the hooter.

there'll be like.... 5 to 10 of em...
and they'll just be yelling slurs and say god hates fags for a long period of time.

Yeah, if your school is going to stage a counter protest, by all means DO IT! The WBC is just wasting time, energy, and money (though they are too dumb to realize that). What I learned from the comic con protest is that if you shout something that makes sense, and annoys them, long enough, they'll leave. But, you'll need a lot of people.

But they're doing it the right way sadly enough.

Instead of running through streets shouting anti-(insert something here) stuff, they do it at protests where it can "apply"

After writing a massive TL;DR post on "It gets better project" thread, I just want to firmly say with the utmost conviction "Jesus was Gay." think about it.

EDIT: I'm not actually wanting to say Jesus was gay, although you could use some lazy man arguments, and argue about the validity of Gospel of Judas, where Jesus kissed Judas, in what is probably one of the oldest Fan-fictions of Slash literature, I've never been bothered to read. But there have sources that have used the bible for a pro-LGBT message, I'm sure I wrote briefly about it on Concession, but there are more passages which could be used.

It agrevates me the social standards people will destroy jus tto get a point of hatred across. Why is it that if an event is about hatred or disrespect it gets covered so much more than one about love and respect? I hope one of these days ill be able to help out and show that we as a people should not have to deal with this hatred. One of the first of the 10 commandments was love thy neighbor was it not? I dont think it said love thy neighbor as long as he or she is a straight gun toting concervative with anger issues. People ike that give all others a bad name. It makes it hard for every one to just get on with there life.

Rings so true, I don't even mind the rampant misspellings. Their own Bible says to love one another, and yet they continue to preach hate speech. Further reinforcing the fact that not only are they idiots, they are also hypocrites.
