Phobias

Feel free to talk about your phobias here. Just remember to not tease anybody here, everybody has fears, and if you laugh at somebody's phobia, you're a hypocrite. If you're too afraid to talk about them, then don't. It would be good if people gave support to those who talk about stuff here, so they don't feel intimidated.

I have phobias for insects, mostly those who sting, a bit for mirrors (I think it's called Spectrophobia), and for small children, I don't really know if there's a name for that last one.

I'm scared of Spiders, well mainly the big one's. But the strange thing is that I'll return and intensely watch it.

Anyways, mine remains the same...
- Heights
- Clowns
- Leeches, octopus, squid, worms, etc.
- Needles (not the drawing of blood - I fear the needle snapping off and getting stuck inside me)
- Pregnant women
- Women during their "time of the month"
- Vagina
- Women in general (I'm afraid, and yet I'm not afraid... it's complicated... ^^;;)

Kinda ironic how I'm going to class come August to be a phlebotomy technician, isn't it?

My only fear is that I don't know what my fear is. Because of that, I don't know when is the right time to bail, I just... deal with it, which is bad because you don't know when to go to a doctor before an illness or injury gets worse.(never happend, yet.)
So I fear not being careful enough.

I have the same behaviour when I see an insect. O_O I thought I was the only one who did that.. ^^;

I am a little afraid of heights and spiders, only the ones that can kill me though...

I am not afraid of death anymore, but was pretty bad about a year or two ago.

... there were others, but i cant remember them anymore.

A friend of mine is VERY afraid of mushrooms, as in if he is near them, he will recoil from them in fear, and if you throw one at him, he is on the brink of tears and flips out, and he is one of the toughest guys i know.

Oh yeah, I remember another thing now. Jellyfish really creeps me out, I almost can't swim at beaches because of them.. They're so slimy and.. well, creepy. With spiders.. I really don't like small or naked spiders, but I quite like big and hairy spiders. ^^

Mine is being trapped in a combat zone with no way out with dead and dying. This happened one time and let me tell you their screams always follow you that is just the worst. The other is not being able to die when hurt so badly had that three time now i earned the nickname deadman. So not being able to die and death screams.

I have an irrational fear of mushrooms. Something about them is inherently creepy. They are fungi, and grow upon dead things and digest them.

As a child, I was frightened to death of them. I would not eat them or step near them. I thought that if I touched one, the spores would get on me and mushrooms would begin to sprout on me and decompose me from the inside out.

I still will not eat them or step near them.
