Last call for stragglers! IC is going up in 2 hours!
Screw it, is Monday in Europe. I'm posting it!
Here's some background info on Redcliff.
Name: Sir Artemis Redcliff
Sex: Male
Race/Species: Human
Age: Unknown, appears middle aged
Specialty: Warlord of Baulder's Gate
Skills: Command tactics, athletic tasks (such as climbing, swimming, lifting objects), Historic accounts, persuasive peacekeeping
Background: Not much is known about Redcliff in the archives, many secrets about himself are kept only to himself, but he appeared after he and a group of adventurers defeated Acererak in a dead god's tomb (Tomb of Horrors). He soon gained status withing the ranks at Baulder's Gate. He was assigned commander of the guard at Baulder's gate after word of the fall of Acererak spread. After some time, a wizard alerted him about a magical anomaly taking place right outside Baulder's Gate. Soon, a rift opened. He was the first to go though the rift and make contact with a wolf man. He soon became an ambassador of Faerun and has been coordinating wizards and the guard on the Earth side of the rifts.
Weapons: Only visible is a greatsword.
Equipment: Only his set if Tarrasque Plate armor is visible on his body. He usually has a set of tactical maps laying about his command tent along with documents coded in elven script.
Abilities: [N/A at the moment]

It was pointed out that Alameda island is not part of San Francisco, true. What I meant to say is the Bay area. Here's a map that details the area. Green shaded area is protected. The purple marking is the rift.

Eh...van, if yer waiting on me for a post, just kick the story on, this is feeling a little -too- assassins creedy to me right now...imma watch fer a bit an maybe pick up with you guys on the more tech oriented side or something...I dunno...I had an idea involving a dragon, but I'm not sure how well it'd work...

I think van needs to push this forward before I can really introduce myself. He had started this thing in a pretty awkward spot.

The fact that the one player who hasn't yet had their character enter the tent says so, makes me inclined to agree; the five primary heroes (or anti-hero, in Cayden's case*) have all entered the tent, and we're basically just waiting for orders at this point. The logical next step would be that those orders are given.

*-This will be explained/explored later, over the course of game-play.

I'm a floating skull. Floating skulls don't sign up for things, they simply just exist. I'm planning to follow what Morte from Planescape: Torment did, which was to hang around the main hero and just talk trash. He added nothing to the party, but you wasted one of the party slots on him anyways since he pretty much provided 90% of all the funny dialogue. So once you guys actually start doing things, I'll find a good place to show up.

Good news everyone, you are reading this like Farnsworth, and I have posted again. Buzz, I don't have any intention to make this turn out like assassin's creed, I am aiming at D&D, since it is D&D partially just without dice and mostly roleplay. And its not completely combat either, there are moments where decisions must be made, kind of like decisions made in Dragon Age or Mass Effect. But when they are happening is something that I'm not going to divulge all too easily.
But anyways, the post has been made, go on. I'll be watching and might make another post depending on responses, but you won't see Redcliff for awhile after this, that's all I'm going to say.

Hey guys, sorry for auto replying your character, I just needed to move the post along. Waiting for you all to reply with 2-3 worded posts would be pointless and timewasting.

"Tonight", he says.

I should tell you, then, I may not be able to reply until tomorrow morning by my time, on account of an actual LFR game that I'll be leaving for in an hour.

Sorry for the nights delay, when I got home from work I couldn't use my laptop because my sister needed it for college stuff... Anyways, new post is up, you are now in the field, setting is pretty damn desolate as described in the IC. No landmarks are remaining except for geologic landmarks.

Edit: Guess what gentlemen, things are about to get real.
some Hobgoblin lore
Hobgoblins live to make war. A typical tribe includes a mixture of hobgoblins, goblins, and bugbears, with the mightiest hobgoblin holding the title of warchief.
A hobgoblin tribe is intensely protective of its reputation and military status. Meetings between groups from different tribes might turn violent if members aren’t restrained. However, a common cause can make hobgoblin tribes set aside their differences for the glory of a great war led by a mighty leader.

After crossing the rift, they quickly got hold of arms and munitions, earth military factions view each tribe as its own militia. Though foot soldiers are a minor nuisance to an experienced spec. ops soldier, their warcasters will tip the battle in their favor. Most field reports that have been released said to engage with caution.

So, what should the creature be? I was thinking a giant war worm.

Has anyone ever seen law of talos? Well you can find the animated parts on YouTube. Anyway my point is in the final episodes of that series there is a magical entity that manifested itself by forming a giant creature out of the citys buildings by merging them together. I was wondering if something like that could be a potential boss at some point or another.

...Yeah... maybe when we're all strong enough to deal with a giant city-golem.
