Furthia high: year 2010 (OOC)

Welcome to wherever furthia high school is located!
This RP takes place during the years before the comic, hence the title. If you've been to school before you probably know what to do, get grades, make friends, have fun. But with furries!

Alright before you enroll(or continue) school, we need to know a lot of things.:
I'm using the wii broswer, so use my descriptions as an example please.(I'm basically playing as myself)

Name: Josemae "joma" Roman"Vent Kazemaru"(friends call me vent)
Age:16
Gender:male
Species: silver fox
Appearance: Medium height, brown eyes, black head fur, usually wears glasses, gloves, blue pants, and a Tshirt. doesn't like black shirts and isn't too keen on formal attire.
Grade: sophomore(you can be a teacher instead)
Classes:English, biology, PE, Algebra, Health science, world history
Bio: Vent's family has been moving a lot, and finally settled down for good, so he's a loner type. He justs wants to get through school and live a easy life. Quiet, shy, Nintendork, bookworm, lazy, intellegent, artistic, That's pretty much how you can describe him.He's the blacksheep in his family, as he prefers to be alone, than "mingling" whatever that is, His family is also roman catholic, but he isn't too keen on religion. He's rather laidback and quirky, but he's actually more serious and dangerous than he's looks. He's not easy to make friends with, but he can be someone you can count on if you do. You can always find him in the library.

I'm new to this kind of thing so tell me if I there are any problems. All classes of similar subject start at the same time, So just go with whoever has the same classes as you. The RP begins in fall. Since QD doesn't really go into the location of furthia, The world of furthia high is the way you make it, as long as you keep continuity straight. Also, you don't have to play as yourself, like I am. Your goal is to make your way through school and hope you survive, make friend, have fun, in the world you always wanted. The unseen principle will determine the fate of the school, so bewareeeee. Also look out for younger versions of adults in the comic like Max Bernadino and his girlfriend,

Ya know....I was wondering when someone would make this...

I'll conjure my fursona as a char sometime soon.

Since QD doesn't really go into the location of furthia, The world of furthia high is the way you make it, as long as you keep continuity straight.

I think QD stated that it was basicaly some random place in the mid-west, kind of how Springfield of the Simpsons is a generic, small town/suburbia.

A few questions, what is the time period in relation to the canon time period. Can we interact with people from the canon? If so, who will be roleplaying them? If not, have we ever heard of the canon characters (for example, is Kale a sort of legend in the school?) or is this prior to the beginning of the comic? Who will roleplay teachers/parents/other adults as necessary if we have mostly kids? Are we starting at the beginning of the school year? Can we introduce new locations that aren't in canon and probably never will be (I very much doubt that Kale will be going to a rave, for example)? Oh yeah, and drugs has been completely non-existent in Canon, so far, do we want to deal with that issue? This is an urban school, I would be very surprised if at least a significant minority of students don't smoke/drink. This has never been shown in Canon, but we have to assume at least a few students do partake. Anyway, finally, how many classes can/should we take (5 or 6 seems to be standard if we count PE).

Those are just questions to clarify the mood we're going for.

As to my character:

Name: Travis 'Trav' Sheller
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Species: Dog, Lab-Shepherd Mix.
Appearance: Somewhat Tall (6'1"), Slender build (not quite campy, but close), Brown hair, yellowish fur, blue eyes. Has a bent right ear. Generally wears jeans, a t-shirt and a hoodie and a simple brass cross on a black chord under his shirt.
Grade: Junior
Classes: American Foreign Policy Since 9/11 (History Elective), Pre-Calculus, Adv. Chem, Creative Writing, Studio Art, and PE.
Bio: Travis has lived in the suburbs of this city since he was born. His parents are relatively well-off, and he's lived a somewhat privileged life, though he's quick to cover it up. Travis has a close knit group of friends (to be established in-game) that he hangs out with a lot. He's very overprotective of his younger brother, Connor, and to a lesser extent, his friends. He isn't a leader and will generally follow the group, though he is quick to excuse himself from an activity where he feels uncomfortable. Despite making constant irreverent jokes, He is a devout (if liberal) Christian (Episcopalian), having converted a year and a half ago. His family is entirely atheist, but rather strict. He's pretty intelligent and loves to argue though will cut it off before it gets too personal or emotional. He's introverted, a bit of a klutz, and somewhat socially awkward, though he tries to hang out with friends as much as he can. Travis is an avid climber and often gets in trouble with his parents for being on the roof of some building he's not supposed to be (and often after dark).

Now that things have slowed down for me and I'm free from classes now, time to get back into this and this seems as good as it can get.

Name: Vanbael 'Van' Kallen
Age: 16
Gender:male
Species: Arctic Fox
Appearance: Slightly tall height, pretty thin due to his high metabolism, ice blue eyes, prefers a classic metal band (mainly Metallica or Iron Maiden) t-shirt with jeans along with a white zip-up hoodie
Grade: sophomore
Classes: English, Chemistry, PE, Photography, World History, Algebra
Bio: Van comes from a small family, his mom died early in his life and his older brother has already graduated and is in college. He takes things day by day, he's laid back, open to opinion. For fun he becomes a video game's whiz, a trivia buff, a skilled and gifted guitarist (give him a song, and an hour and he'll have it reproduced by ear), and free-running through the area. When it comes to dealing with people though, he is not afraid to stand up no matter how weak he looks. Lots of his determination and skills are from his mother, yet he questions about her are rarely answered.

The comic takes place not too far in the future, I'm guessing 20 years or so, so that means most of the adults in cannon are young enuogh to show up if ye want, but the RP takes place in the present(like today). Unless QD wants to participate...
You can also be a teacher/professor/coach, I'm guess those who already finished school can be this.
The RP begins during fall but after orerientation, that way transferees (like me) can start properly.
What is the school schedule for furthia high anyway?
It's really up to you if you're charater's into drugs and cigarettes really, NPCs probably can do that.
5 or 6 classes should do, seniors can have less.
And we need a few more students before we can start.

Oh yeah, do we roleplay our own parents? Also should students in the same basic class but in different grades be in the same class? E.g. Should Vanbael and I share Chemistry classes, even though logically I should be more advanced than he is? I mean just to allow more cross-grade communication.

As to how classes are organized, probably the normal way for an American High School you take two-three classes before lunch and then two-three after, plus maybe a free period.

Favorite Metalocalypse Character: Pickles
Favorite DnD Class: Ranger
Favorite Drink: Mountain Dew.

Appearance: slightly overweight, standard striped skunk markings (more white on face, and left hand is white instead of black). Hair short-medium length, usually messy; has glasses.
Usually wears black (one with a KoRn logo) or green shirts, and jeans. He also tends to have a mp3 player about him, even though the school administration frowns on it.

Bio: a byproduct of a ugly divorce, Sean has bounced around schools in his youth due to the event causing some behavorial problems. He's evened out upon reaching Furthia in his Freshman semester, though it still affects him somewhat.

As a result of bullying, Sean tends to be flighty or standoffish, not to mention he nurses a slight inferiority compelx. However, when he does make friends, he is loyal and trustworthy, and tries to help them out with problems. Due to his parent's overprotection, he tends to be a bit naïve of certain things.

Seans general activites are roleplaying, reading, video games, zoning out to music, and obsessing on how wearing pink is only acceptable so long as there is black to even it out.

Clearly, it's up to Vent to decide if we should have such a list, or for that matter, if this list is acceptable.

Well you sure saved me a some work. I'll edit the first post with that later(using wii browser).
The problem is which classes start at which time? Don't forget those military classes things. And asccoitated student body thing too.
You can play as your parents, they don't need to be described much.
the grades don't really matter in the classes, so a senior can be with a freshman, happens in my school.
Don't be afraid to use real world references or even your life for that matter, cus' I will too.
And this may be an RP about school, but you can also talk about weekends and holiday breaks or sudden emergencies. The unseen principle will determine the fate of the school. And no one wants to teach furries?
I'll start the RP tommorrow (tuesday).

If you don't post anything for a while you'll be probably absent or skipping classes unless someone covers your side for you.

Appearance: Jeans and a tee, glasses, sandals (that whole beachy feel), brown hair, height about 5' 4", earrings
Grade: freshman
Classes: Chemistry, English Lit, Latin, Geometry, Drama (Also takes Photography classes over the weekend)
BIO: Creo's name means "I believe" or just "believe" in more than one languages. Creo is very intellegent as well as the rest of her family line, and always strove to be the best. She was the second Silverwood to recieve the name "Creo". Every day, she has strove to live up to the name. She entered school at fifth grade, younger than everyone else, after being homeschooled. She has excelled in the top 5% of her class, but is very anxious, starting a new school, lonely, a bit insecure, and yearning for friends as she has been a loner for upper elementary school and new oppourtunities with only her obsession, her music (well technically her i-pod) for consolence.

here's my question though, is there some kinda real story going on here? like FH has Kales story and drama unfolding as well as going to school, or is this just a sorta, social RP type setting for people to merely interact and whatnot, like a virtual chatroom with a setting?

There's no real story really. It's basically your life the way you've always wanted it, enjoying school with people you can relate to. But be warned, the school is going to go through some events and disasters.
And you'll need teamwork to get through that. You can be human as well. And things in the comic can be applied as well.
The unseen principle's power is absolute, you never see it, only through the speakers on the walls.
