Of Heroes and Villains Episode 2 (OOC)

Hey, can I get a brief synopsis of what happened since I left? It was during the first (maybe the only) fight with the legendary vixens (the ones that had fire ice and lightning powers... because pokemon... legendary birds... same...ele... nevermind)?

The vixens only made the single appearance for the finiale to that arc, so you only really missed the end of that fight and the final sequences, Ember, the one you'd been fighting, bolted to save her skin after getting cornered by the soldier dubbed 'One'. Volt, the one that Kazzra (Shades character) was fighting, died after nearly killing him, taking a heavy blow that pretty much finished the fight, she was later consumed by the blast that took the Neosuns Facility. Crystal escaped as well after her fight with Aires characters and the one that could 'bring drawings to life', a pair of the Soldiers of gold team stepping in to try to save the 'children' as the female soldier referred to it, the snow leopard almost losing her life if Crystal had not bee allowed to escape. King was lost in the nelsons explosion after facing off with the facility controller for control over the 'source' as he referred to it, with a Wolf named Kane, who appears to control but a single power, yet wielded it in such a way that the Crime lord couldn't so much as land a hit. The wolf was seen again after the blast, completely unharmed, listing off false details about the explosion of the nelsons facility to a news camera.

Personally, I'd suggest reading back at least a page or so, it'll probably clear up some of the more vague details

Powers: "Jumping": The ability to possess people by 'jumping' into their bodies within a range of 2m. Raigen will immediately be ejected from the person he is possessing if he chooses to discontinue possession, or if the person either dies, loses consciousness or regains control over his/her body. The posssiblity of said person regaining bodily control depends on his/her mental strength and will.

Appearance: 5'11", white fur, green-coloured eyes, lean build. Usually seen wearing trademark attire: black leather coat and black combat pants. May waer other clothing depending on mood and purpose.

Personality: Anarchy, boisterous and an adrenaline junkie he finds his work as a mercenary allows him to operate independently of those who may disapprove of his actions, his employers typically only concerned with results. It is, at its core, his way of being paid for doing what he loves. The characteristic that has given him the most fame is his frequent use of high-grade explosives for even the smallest problems and his tendency to not only defeat, but utterly destroy his enemies. Even those familiar with his reputation are shocked by his penchant for sadistic violence. He does however have a 'soft' side; loyal to those he considers friends and willing to stand up to a threat to defend them. He also has a soft side for the little guy, just trying to get by. He cares little about who employs him or why, only that it allows him to exercise his love of death and destruction. At his core, he doesn't care about personal safety, he doesn't care who lives or dies, he just wants to have fun! One thing you need to be warned about though, Raigen also has a darker side to his personality, a cruel, sadistic and psychotic one. One that he's trying to keep caged.

Overall, I don't find the character to look too bad, though I'm not really sure what species it is, you just described him as having white fur and green eyes, I'm assuming it's supposed to look like your Avi, but I can't really be sure

as far as your power, it's not a bad one, Jericho was an old school titan that had a similar power (puppet master stuff or something like that, could jump between bodies, but also couldn't speak), the thing that strikes me as off about it, is that the power really doesn't suit the personality or character type all that well, and it's gonna be very tricky one to play considering players are playing both heroes and villains, you'd have to be very careful with how you used it in every situation unless they were neutral NPCs or someone that you controlled solely. the thing about Puppet master power, is that it's a chess masters power, not one who's described as 'rowdy, boisterous and an adrenaline junkie', it's one that's played in the background at key moments, to gain the advantage over unsuspecting opponents, or infiltrate under the guise of another, it more marks the work of an assassin rather than a merc.

Honestly, for his personality and interests, he seems more suited for a more destructive power, something like Anon G was using back when he was in the first Heroes RP, where his character left glowing handprints that exploded after she was a distance from them, you get the idea, something that's physically destructive and against non-supers, might easily be considered overkill

again, it's not bad, but I'd personally suggest maybe tweaking the powers a little since I get the idea you designed the personality long before the RP, just altered it up to fit a little

Thanx for the comment. I've editted the personality a little and added the species. The power I'm going for is actually based on Paxton Fettel of FEAR. He can possess people and his personlaity is quite similar to Raigen so it actually fits when you look at it that way. And you're correct, Buzz, he is based on my fursona.

uh...aside from the fact that Paxton was a complete fucking nutcase, there's the fact that he was the 'psychic commander' of a clone army and was seen more than one time making a meal of a corpse while his soldiers stood watch...but aside from that, there's always the fact that he's fucking dead...that's why he can body hop, his power came from that his body was destroyed, but his psychic energy was strong enough that he could maintain a presence in the real world or some shit like that, he was a ghost possessing people and in all honesty, that wasn't at all the type of vibe I was getting off your character design

and that intro was...odd...I'm not entirely sure where you were going with it really aside from maybe establishing him as the designated 'badass' or something there...the whole age thing still bothers me more than anything else, especially with that incredibly high level of experience he has for someone who's only 18, it just doesn't strike me as...reasonable...it's not a bad post, it's just...really odd...

woah woah woah mate, don't take it the wrong way there! you're writing is actually very good, impressive even if you're really that new at the Forum RPing. it was a bit showy, but that's all an good, we all tend to make those kinda posts now and again. there's not many players up here with a comprehension of writing at that level or above

personally, I'd be tweaking the fuck outta that character, but that's cause I play probably a different style than you, I feel hte need to MAKE the power match the personality of the character, to me, the aggressive/boisterous/showy types, don't generally have backhanded powers like the puppet master ability you're using, tehy have frontal/destructive powers that they either show off with, or just literally destroy things for the helluvit. the ones taht carry a power like the puppet master I'd attribute to someone with a deeper plan in mind, someone who weaves a web and slowly hooks every target little by little till suddenly you blink and everyones been snared in the trap

now, by all means, if you wanna push on a character that sorta walks the line between the two, go for it, power to ya. it'll be tricky, I'm warning ya now, cause that powers gonna be very...dangerous...it's an either or situation, either it works, and you take over another players character (should you go after one), or you don't manage it cause they're too 'mentally powerful' to overwhelm. how you decide which way it goes is where it gets tricky, and honestly, there's no best answer to that, a judgement call is alot of times the best bet, but you gotta -really- be paying attention to characters personalities and their abilities.

all in all, looks to be an interesting RP to play in! now that shit's done being stupid around here, I can actually get to work on some real writing for this thing

honestly...I don't think anyone ever actually agreed or came up with a solid name for the city now that I think about it...:\ huh...and it's pretty much a sandbox styled city, the pieces are there as you need them, so if you need a hotel, just create one, there's not a ton thats been that solidly defined aside from the now gaping crater that's left of the neosuns facility and the multiple blocks of destruction surrounding it about a half mile off the water front. and the way the days/nights work are kinda weird just so ya know...

and also, so ya know, there's a rather large underground that controls the crime of the city for the most part, it was king but as far as the city believes, he's dead, so it's probably gonna be pretty chaotic pretty quick, and 'men-for-hire' are gonna be everywhere without their king

that was an...interesting why you decided to connect the story lines...and a good thing you went toward Dox and Drake rather than Sasha and Kazzra since Sasha's a high level telepath...little odd...but not bad...still seems -really- high level tactics and knowledge for how old he is...
