Some where within a crime infested city a local shopping mall is flooded by an unknown substance, whether or not it was a terrorist attack or a freak accident is unknown and left entirely to speculation

The C.D.C. Is called in to contain the situation

Every one seemed perfectly healthy and unaffected. Although to be safe individuals exposed to the substance were detained for a period of 24 hours. No symptoms were shown. But the C.D.C. found themselves stumped due to the fact that it appeared to be the same substance that was accidentally released during a school field trip to the town docks several days ago, but at that time it was deemed harmless. But it begged the question. If it were a terrorist attack or even just a freak accident, how did the substance even get there? Also why are everyone's memories of the event so hazy?

None of them said anything, but some individuals, noticed a change in their abilities.

Now as a side note here it takes some people longer than others to show "symptoms" of exposer. This is to allow late people to join in on this. Now the needed character info is as follows

This is mostly a continuation, not a restart. I have split this into chapters because I find "dat new thread smell" tends to attract new players. Also if you were a part of the last chapter it is highly encouraged that you use the character you created in the previous chapter, but you are more than welcome to create a new character if you wish to do so.

Some of us still need to wrap things up in chapter one, but this should give new players plenty of time to plan out their characters. And I predict (meaning hope to god) that by the time the new players have everything picked out that we have chapter 1 finished.

Ok, I think that's everything but im fairly sure in a moment some one will correct me on something obvious that I missed.

Well since we now have 3 people who are legitimately in im going to post my two character sheets tomorrow. Its too damn late at night for me to think straight. (3:45 AM at time of writing)

Name: Kazzra James Darlington

Super Hero name: White Lantern (name given by a follower of King)

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Powers: Hard-Light Creation and Manipulation (Focuses light particles/waves into small pockets of hard light)

Species: Vulpine

Appearance: 5' 11" in height with short white fur, no "head hair," crimson-colored eyes, and a dark blue tribal pattern dyed into his fur, running all over his back half and coming around on his chest and forehead. Usually wears light jeans and a T-shirt.

Personality: "You argue, I'll make them dead" ideals on criminals, out-spoken, easily frustrated, ladies' man.

Background: Kazzra was born to a higher-middle class family, and was therefore rather happy as a child, the ace of his elementary classes. However, Kazzra's high-school years were a turn for the worst for Kazzra, as he developed a very, very keen interest in girls and an attitude toward the jocks of the school. It started when a love-interest of his was abused by the star quarterback of the football team. For Kazzra, his first offense involved the shattered glass of a classroom door, a large dent in a locker, a broken nose, and a court-ordered anger-management class.

After that, the self-proclaimed defender of the innocent and infamous ladies' man learned to wait for the offender to be alone before letting them have it. However, one offender happened to be a gang member and Kazzra was nearly killed in a revenge jumping. Hospitalized with several gunshot wounds, knife wounds, and broken bones, the vulpine's long rode to recovery was coupled with a deep depression as he realized that he couldn't just fight his way to a better world.

Kazzra had just recovered when the infamous field trip came around. Kazzra was one of the first generation of heroes to be born, though the development of his powers came later than most and was part of the group that fought the infamous crime-lord, King. Kazzra was injured during a battle with one of King's followers and is currently recovering in the hospital under the care of the nurse Sasha...

Name: Drake Skyler Edwards

Super Villian Name: Nightclaw (name given by surviving eyewitness)

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Powers: Shadow Solidification and Manipulation: Drake's power allows him to manipulate any shadow that he or his own shadow touches to a point of making them able to solidify enough to have physical properties, including weight, by controlling the various atoms that fill the "dark space" that happens from the absence of photons or low level of. However, the farther away he tries to manipulate, the harder it is for him to focus it. Each shadow has a time limit based on how far away from him it is, the longest lasting being the ones that come out of his own shadow.

Species: Komodo Dragon

Appearance: Drake is more draconic in appearance, leading to his name. His snout is sharper with pronounced nostrils than other komodos and his scales are a dark shade of red, bordering on the color of dried blood. His tail tapers faster than most, making it more mobile and his claws are shorter and broader than other komodos and his green eyes have slit pupils.

As far as clothing, Drake often wears no shirt, but a light, sleeveless vest and a pair of cargo jeans. His hands are always adorned with fingerless gloves and he wears an old pair of army boots.

Personality: Drake is a fighter, that is his drug. There's nothing he loves more than a good fight because he's always wanting to beat the best so he can be the best. The stronger the fighter, the more crazed he gets and he tends to get bored if the fight is one sided.

Background: Drake's childhood was a bloody one, not because his parents were bad, his parents were model parents, but he was clinically psychotic. His parents first realized it when they caught him watching an martial arts fight and getting excited to the point that he was pummeling his older brother. They would have overlooked it if the answer to their question of why hadn't been, "I like the noises he makes when I win." Drake was put on pills to keep him calm, but by his eighth birthday, he missed the high and began tricking his parents into thinking he had taken his pills.

Drake was the terror of his schools, always picking fights with the top dogs of the schools and stomping them into the ground, getting bored if they tried to give up. No one dared say anything because when one kid made the mistake of saying they'd tell, Drake made the comment, "Well, it takes them five minutes to get out here. In that time, I can ensure you never speak again." Regardless, it wasn't long until he wound up in Juvenile Hall, though it took until high school. Drake dropped out of high school when he was released and faded into the dark alleys, eventually joining with an illegal fight club where King eventually recruited him and gave him a concentrated dose of the chemical that created the heroes and other villians.

Drake was one of the few to survive the destruction of the Neosuns facility and witness the death of King. He is currently hiding out in one of King's hideouts with the rest of the survivors...

Name: Meira "Shiverscale" Asguard

Super Hero name: Spirit

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Powers: Class 5 Ethereal (can become intangible for relatively long periods of time, cause objects/people to do the same, and walk through solid objects. Very little control, often happens as a consequence of emotional stress. Walking "through" people causes organ shifting while she's "in" them, but again, she has almost no control over her power. Physics of the power are that the fabric of space bends around her, placing her in a pocket of space outside of ours and that this warping causes objects to "warp" around her. While in her intangible state, Meira is also immune to almost all weapons and natural hazards. Able to use a warping inside her own body to create a disguise that she is simply a tall lizard girl, only part of her power she has full control over)

Species: Dragon (was a lizard species until her powers developed, morphing her into a more dragon-like body.)

Appearance: Meira stands well over 6' but retains a very fine hourglass shape to her body with a chest fitting of her stature. Her scales appear to be a vibrant silver and flash brightly under light, a side effect of her "disguise", created a shimmering effect, hence her nickname. Her eyes are a rich blue color. no head hair. When she drops the disguise, her body becomes even more elegant and refined, but her muscles also become denser and her scales cease to shimmer, leaving them as a pale grey that makes her look otherworldly and her eyes become a pale blue.

Personality: Shy when not wearing her hero costume, quiet, and otherwise timid. When she releases her disguise though, she believes another personality takes over for she becomes very confident, strong, and outgoing.

Background: Meira was born on the dessert some distance from the city where she currently lives, in order to survive the first few years of childhood when she needed a lot of warmth and sunshine. She was mostly raised by her mother while her father worked in the city as a carpenter, and was taught that she was to be respectful of men and stay out of the way, causing her to become withdrawn and shy. It wasn't until she needed to go to school that her parents moved fully into the city and Meira was a magnet for a lot of bullying since she very rarely said anything and was one of the first girls that Kazzra ever defended.

Since then, she has tried to open up and even made a few friends through her school years, but she never partied or did anything adventurous. In fact, she was perfectly fine with that until a friend of hers talked her into going to the mall on the fateful day that the chemical was released upon the shoppers. Her powers developed shortly after, her first incident with it being as she was setting up her apartment and nearly had a bookshelf fall on her. In fear, she tapped into her power and simply stood up... through the bookshelf. It was that night that her body changed and the "other her" made itself known, teaching her enough to hide the form for safety's sake...

I've got another character I was working on as well...not really hero or really a villain...more...chaos really since he's after anyone with powers, but still with purpose, I'll play him in as I find a spot appropriate for him to enter, which if things kick off as I hope they do, shouldn't be for awhile

I'm still curious if we're gonna see any of the old faces come back aside from the three of us, or if we're even gonna see any new blood with this one...

Powers: Pyro/Cryo Kinesis, he can manipulate fire and frost, also his agility has been dramatically improved (he's about as fast and flexible as a parkour expert)
Species:human
Appearance: About 5'7, jet black hair, some what squarish face, green eyes, and some what scrawny looking.
Personality:some what sad most of the time but tries to be the good guy. (he takes meds for depression/axiaty every morning before school, as well as other pills to sleep at night since he has a sleeping disorder)

Gender:Female
Powers:Vampire-ism, She is best described as being like a half vampire in the fact that she has the enhanced speed and strength, as well as the inability to be harmed by the cold, and due to the whole half vampire bit she is not harmed by direct exposure to sunlight. (but she is still sensitive to it.) She does require blood in order to sustain herself, if she does not take in enough blood she starts to loose energy, and may even temporarily slip into a comatose like state. On top of all this her eyes can also function in a manner similar to that of thermal goggles, and her fingernails can also grow and retract a set of razor sharp claws.
Species:Fox
Appearance: About 5'4,Her fur color is normally red and her eyes are also blue. But upon shifting to her vampire state, her fur turns blue, and her eyes go red. She has white areas under her chin, and on the front of her torso, as well as a white tip at the end of her tail. She also has shoulder length hair.
Personality:She is sometimes concerned about the well being of others, she also has a crush on Kevin, but she is a bit shy when it comes to relationships. She also might beat herself up (metaphorically speaking) over mistakes she makes. She also hates to see other people suffer.

Well. I recall one or two people saying they wanted to join. But I guess they just decided to post twice and vanish (go figure) so im probably going to get around to starting up the IC.

EDIT: If I recall correctly its Tuesday in the RP right? Actually screw it, lets just say it is for the sake of not having to dig back through the last chapter.

Appearance: A bit unremarkable, a little tall, a bit of chub, constantly seen with his large headphones over his ears and wears obscure band t-shirts

Personality: Kind of quiet, but when he does speak, he tends to be sarcastic, strange or crazy. He isn't afraid to speak up when he feels it is necessary. When around friends he always cracks jokes and never lets a sexual joke or a pun go by. Lonely while not alone.
